Abstract
Objectives£ºThe aim of this study was to examine the severity of family relations risk and depressive symptom of marriage immigrant women and investigate risk factors which influence family relations risk.

Methods£ºAll participants conducted self-report questionnaire survey including sociodemographic characteristics, Family Relations Problem Symptoms Scale, Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9). Spearman correlation analysis was performed to examine the relationship between depressive symptoms and family relations problem symptoms. Also, logistic regression analysis was conducted to identify the risk factors which influence the family relations risk.

Results£ºA total of 350 participants were enrolled in this study. There was a significant positive correlation between depressive symptom score and Family Relations Problem Symptoms Scale score(r=0.33, p<0.01). Obtaining Korean nationality(O.R=3.23, 95% CI=1.04-10.01) and depression(O.R=11.32, 95% CI=1.73-74.21) were significant predictors for increased family relations risk in marriage immigrant women.

Conclusion£ºThis study emphasizes the need for institutional support including acquisition of nationality and active management of depressive symptoms to help marriage immigrant women settle in domestic society.
